Representatives of Raw Combat International are not necessarily certified instructors. All and any certified instructor will be able to produce ID issued from the Raw Combat Headquarters in Japan.

So, if anyone is claiming to be a certified instructor simply ask to see their ID which is a similar card to a driver`s license. If you have any doubts simply contact us directly for verification.

Mr. Matsuda has been training martial arts for the last 3 decades and has been actively involved in the security industry both in and outside of Japan for some 20 years. To this day he is still a professional bodyguard which has giving him all sorts of experience including an in-house (full time) bodyguard for two years in Kenya, Africa.  Matsuda is an author of a text used by the Japanese Police, he has had numerous television & magazine appearances and is seen as a pioneer of the Japanese Security Industry working extensively with Law Enforcement and the Japanese Armed Forces.  

Now that Mr. Matsuda and Sifu Luke are working side by side to develop Japanese National Security with training in Security & Law Enforcement (etc) Mr. Matsuda has become Sifu Luke`s friend, trusted partner and right hand man. Together they are consistently making long awaited developments within the Japanese Martial Arts community introducing this new system of training.  In this past year alone there has been some major changes in both the attitudes of Japanese martial artists and instructors alike towards self protection training. This is our biggest achievement.

Raw Combat Belgium

Laurent and the group in Chaleroi have hosted Luke twice now in a year and have formed a great relationship. on Luke's last trip to Belgium he was able to spend good time with the boys and develop their Raw Silat skills. Luke also introduced many concepts used in his profession (Close Protection/Body Guarding) on the second day (of the open seminar) including tactical knife fighting concepts. On the last visit Luke was able to see Laurent's high level of skill & understanding  of  self protection concepts, fight tactics and professionalism in the security industry whilst accompanying him to venues he runs in the local area.

Adrian Blayney is the founder of Modern Street Martial Art and first became attracted to Raw Combat when his training in his previous style lacked ground work and knife defense. Adrian and his team have attended Luke Holloway's first Euro Tour seminars and have been involved in group training since. Luke lived with Adrian and his family for three weeks in Wales in early 2010. During this time Luke not only gave intensive private instruction to Adrian and his group but also taught classes at the two location introducing students to Luke's Raw Close Quarter Combatives, Self Protection Concepts, Empty Hand Silat along with Tactical Knife & Stick work.

Adrian Blayney has achieved the requirements to be recognized as an Officially Recognized Instructor, he is also a Trainee- Instructor and training group leader in Raw Silat & Raw Knife Survival. He has also passed a complete security check.

Luke Holloway has personally trained with Tony Bergin and assessed his skills as a combatives instructor and martial practitioner.  Luke states that he endorses Mr. Bergin as an instructor of Self Protection and CQC (Close Quarter Combatives) as he is very good at what he does and uses very similar principals! Tony is a trainee instructor for Raw Knife Survival and is now implimenting Raw training concepts into his classes.

The reason we have defined these terms is that many have attempted our courses but few have successfully made it through.

Trainee Instructors are those who either come to Japan for training or who are doing an online program
along with active training in person with Sifu Luke in consistent seminar attendance.
Trainee Instructors are NOT qualified to teach any classes nor courses of Raw Combat unless given permission directly from Sifu Luke.
Trainee Instructors are listed on our site as ‘group leaders’ they are NOT teaching official classes and again are NOT qualified
to teach specialized courses nor seminars alike. We only support officially recognized (certified & qualified) instructors

These Instructors are certified as having trained directly under Sifu Luke and and have met the minimum requirements.
One thing about Sifu Luke & Raw Combat International is that we do not sell certificates.
We are more about quality than quantity! All officially certified civilian instructors will be listed on this page.

CERTIFIED SPECIALIST TRAINERS OF RAW COMBAT INTERNATIONAL

These instructors have taken their training and qualification/s to the next level by doing specialist courses.
Unless give permission by the founder of Raw Combat International instructors are not allowed to conduct seminars nor
teach specialized courses unless they have they have graduated from one of OUR courses in how to do so. In general, this is for everyone’s safety.

RAW COMBAT INTERNATIONAL AFFILIATED SCHOOLS

Affiliated schools of Raw Combat are those who teach a different system however wish to be recognized as
legitimate instructors of a legitimate system. If you and your school wish to become recognized as an affiliated group and
listed on our site as an affiliated group then you must submit application and provide substantial proof of training history,
active training, active instruction and current skills in the form of showing your responses to specific scenarios set out in a curriculum supplied to you.
