Do you have good time management skills ? Are you an organized person ? Do you have experience in dealing with martial artists and a variety of groups ? Are you known within the martial arts community ? Have you got the confidence to approach the Martial Arts community by yourself ? Do you see yourself as being able to represent Raw Combat for this venture ? If you have any trouble answering those questions or are unsure it is we advise you look for a capable host.? AT A GLANCE

Community Awareness Networking Gathering expressions of interest Confirm attendee numbers Confirm date & venue Register participants Train together and have an awesome time !!!
COMMUNITY AWARENESS
It is your responsibility to promote and push this seminar in your local area. This will require more effort than simply calling and emailing the people you know. To make a successful seminar requires networking and bringing in new people. Unless the seminar is in the form of a specific course and exclusive to a specific group we want to be open to all and any participants over 18 years of age and physically and mentally fit enough to take part in training Raw Combat.
It is important that you continue with pushing the development of community awareness even up until the very date of the seminar. In most cases it works in your favor. If the media are present or there is a story in a martial arts magazine etc you are seen as a well organized and in turn respected leader in the martial arts community. We have flyers available for you to down load and print out.
Most of our hosts post simple flyers at community centers, schools, health & fitness centers and martial arts clubs alike.
Posting information on your youtube, facebook, myspace and or other similar blogs are a sensitive topic. We ask that you submit an overview of what you are going to post before you do so as we have had problems in the past being misrepresented.
We suggest you contact all surrounding martial arts groups and make them aware that you are looking at hosting a Raw Combat seminar and see if they are interested in becoming involved. If not by attending, then possibly even just allowing a flyer or something similar being put up in their gym and or in their newsletter. As we do not consider ourselves a traditional martial arts group we do not see ourselves in competition with anyone nor are we trying to steel business.
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
If the surrounding local groups are interested then we advise that you give them an expression of interest form which we supply. Each group will be given a single expression of interest form which will simply have the name, age and email address of those who are genuinely interested in attending the seminar.
A final date will be negotiated (usually within 2-3 weeks of handing out those forms). By that date you will need to collect the expression of interest forms from each group.
Once you have collected the expression of interest forms you will have a good idea of who and how many potential participants there will be.
CONFIRMATIONS
We ask that you follow up each expression of interest with a general email (same information to each recipient) stating that if they can confirm with you that they are genuinely interested in attending a seminar at the proposed date, have the time and the funds then you will confirm the date & venue with Sifu Luke Holloway and organize registration. This is all done online and no money is to change hands between you and participants unless you are paying for them. In which case you will still need to register for them also.
From there it is very easy. Once we see that there is a realistic number of interested individuals we open registration. That will allow those interested approximately two weeks to register and pay for their seminar participation.
TRAINING ON THE DAY
We suggest that if you have organized the seminar as the host and you have networked with other groups you make an effort to organize sufficient training equipment. This could be as simple as reminding each group leader and or individual to bring their own protective gear, training pads and or training weapons.
Sifu Luke has stated that he will not talk to media (TV Networks, Newspapers and or magazines) unless there has been an agreement beforehand.
